Strawberry Jam

It's June, and last weekend we had such beautiful weather that we just had to go strawberry picking.  But, what should we do with all of the strawberries?  Well....I decided to try to make Strawberry Jam. 

This is the recipe I found ad Food Network.  http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/fresh-strawberry-jam-recipe/index.html  I read all of the comments and and made one alteration to use only 1-1/2 c of sugar instead of 2 c.  My first attempt at Strawberry Jam turned out pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.

Boiling 8ox. Canning Jars

2 cups of chopped strawberries


1-1/2c Sugar with Lemon Juice Heating on the Stove

Sugar Mixture with chopped Strawberries Added in.

8oz. Jar Filled with Hot Strawberry Jam (Right Off the Stove)
